This is my favorite picture of my cousin Mandy.  All my Han friends think it's me.

Mandy already has a baby of her own.  In later years I got along well with her sister, Sarah.  Their dad, my uncle Glen, is my mother's twin.  We always had lots of fun, but those fun kinds of dads aren't so fun when the kids start growing up.  It's like they start thinking to themselves "hey, this kid isn't cute anymore, and I can't pick her up, either."  Then, even though duty calls to take good care of them, it loses the old magic, and the fun dad turns into something not so fun, and the kids turn into rebels.  I hear Glen has a drinking problem, and no, that doesn't mean that he spills his drinks on his forehead.  I sometimes discover that my body type and certain personality features are like Glen, and I, too, go searching for a crutch.  But thankfully there's no monkey on my back.

The news I hear from my mother's side of the family is scarce, and not a single cousin of mine emails me.  I think it's because once I get into conversation with them it becomes apparent that I like intellectual things and they don't.  I used to have crazy fun with my cousins when we were all little, but now everybody does their own thing.  I'd still like to see them again some day.
